Keep your car's tires properly inflated. Tires that have less than the proper amount of air in them decrease fuel efficiency and must be replaced earlier than properly inflated tires. For each pound-per-square-inch (PSI) below the correct air pressure, underinflated tires require .4% more gas to travel each mile. You can usually find the correct air-pressure printed on the side of each tire.
